Earth Edition, A Festival of Eco-Consciousness

Bras For A Cause
You are cordially invited to be a part of our 20th Annual Bras for a Cause fundraiser, which kicks off national Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Moreover, it will be held Saturday, September 23, 2023 from 5pm to 10pm at Hyatt Regency Valencia. Fortunately, last year our donors helped us successfully achieve our fundraising goals. In return, more people were able to benefit from state-of-the-art treatment and technology. Luckily, they receive compassionate support and coping tools in the fight against breast cancer right here in the comfort of our own community.
Lastly, this event features local models displaying hand-decorated themed bras created by members of Soroptimist. The event will include exciting live and silent auction opportunities. Click here for more info.

Monday, September 25, 2023:
St. Francis Dam Cleanup in honor of ‘National Public Lands Day’
St. Francis Dam Disaster National Memorial & National Monument, 35622 San Francisquito Canyon Road
Residents are invited to celebrate 30 years of National Public Lands Day at a volunteer cleanup event. Further, activities will include picking up microtrash, painting over graffiti and clearing weeds. Additionally, coffee and snacks will be provided, and participants are encouraged to bring a water bottle, hat, sunscreen, closed-toed shoes and clothing that might get dirty. Finally, the event will conclude with giveaways, raffles and lunch.

Studio 7 Foundation ‘Funday’
Studio 7 Foundation is scheduled to host its second annual “Funday” charity event, featuring barrel races and pole bending. Moreover, it’s hosted by the Acton Rangers in efforts to raise money for leukemia awareness. Further, the event is set to feature vendors, Kona Ice, a raffle and a chili cook-off. ‘Saturday’s Kids’ at Newhall Family Theatre
Intended for young school-aged children T-K and older, Saturday’s Kids was created as an adventure into storyland. Filled with crazy antics and colorful props, Saturday’s Kids seeks to encourage imagination and creativity in kids. Further, this first presentation of Saturday’ Kids consists of two short silly plays performed by adults, followed by a 15-minute craft activity related to the plays’ themes. Also, the total time is one hour — intended to be a manageable duration for young children’s introduction to live theater.
“Fractured Fairytales and Stone Soup” is scheduled to be performed live at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Doors will open 30 minutes prior to showtime. USC Alumni Football Watch Party
Next, USC Santa Clarita Valley Alumni Association is hosting USC football watch parties for the 2023-24 season.
