Friday August 11, 2023 – City’s ‘Celebrate’ Series: The Tataviam
Come to the Canyon Country Community Center to learn about the Tataviam Native Americans. You can experience their culture with food, music, dance and arts. It’s an outdoor stage and the event will be from 6:00 P.M – 9:00 P.M. The distinct community of the present-day Fernandeño Tataviam Band of Mission Indians (FTBMI) originated in the lineages, villages and culture of the pre-Mission period.

Friday August 11, 2023 – ‘The Andrews Brothers’ at Newhall Family Theatre
Starting at 7:30 P.M. You can come down and enjoy a show about a USO performance from the Andrews Sisters that is in jeopardy of cancellation when they fail to appear shortly before curtain — and three earnest stagehands are determined to go on with the show.

From 8:00 P.M – 10:00 P.M. This Pulitzer Prize winning drama follows the daughter of a recently deceased mathematical professor in his fifties. It was even made into a movie. That’s how good this play was.
Saturday August 12, 2023 – Bouquet Canyon Certified Farmers Market & Crafters Show
From 8:00 A.M – 12 P.M. Come and get some fresh fruits and veggies. From crips apples to sweet berries. You even find artisanal cheeses, homemade preserves, or freshly baked bread.

Saturday August 12, 2023 – ‘Aquarium on Wheels’ at Valencia Marketplace
From 12:00 P.M – 3:00 P.M. Come see Aquarium of the Pacific’s education presentation about the ocean and the creatures that live in it. The Aquarium on Wheels is a mobile display of many sea creatures in their own little “pools” that visitors can see up close and even touch. This display is intended for children as well as adults. Several marine biologists will be on hand to discuss and answer questions about the animals and their habitats.

Santa Clarita August 13, 2023 – ‘Paint for a Cause’ Benefitting Alzheimer’s Association
From 3:00 P.M – 5:00 P.M. In honor of National Prosecco Day, Oakmont of Valencia is hosting a fundraiser supporting The Alzheimer’s Association. The fundraiser is a guided painting class featuring bottomless mimosas. The cost for painting and mimosas will be $25 per person. All checks should be made out to The Alzheimer’s Association, which receives 100% of the proceeds.
