We serve people. We honor those who served.
In honor of our family’s legacy of dentistry and service, we founded Santa
Clarita Operation Smiles — a program rooted in gratitude, compassion, and
purpose.
For over a century, our family has believed that dentistry is about more
than teeth. It is about restoring health, dignity, and quality of life.
That belief has never stopped at our office door. It extends into
communities here at home and around the world — and Santa Clarita
Operation Smiles is how we carry it forward today.
From global missions to local heroes
A century apart — the same mission.
Where it began
Our great-uncle, Labon Smith, used his dental training to serve abroad
— helping establish what became known as LABEN Ministries, building
hospitals, delivering essential care, and creating a lasting impact in
underserved communities that continues to this day.
Where it lives on
Every November, we dedicate our time and resources to provide free
preventive dental care to military veterans in need — our way of
giving back to those who have given so much.
Both Dr. Allen and Dr. Kelly were raised in families of service.
Their fathers served as Captains in the United States Army during
the Vietnam War — instilling a deep respect for sacrifice,
discipline, and country.
Santa Clarita Operation Smiles was created to honor that legacy —
past and present — and to stand alongside the veterans who carry the
same values home.
We don’t just fix teeth. We serve people. We honor those who served.
Care built around the people we serve
Our goal is simple but powerful: to restore comfort, to protect health,
and to give back with meaning.
Routine, preventive dental care that supports long-term health and
keeps small problems from becoming big ones.
Thorough screenings to catch issues early and protect overall
wellness, not just the teeth.
Judgment-free treatment for every veteran, delivered with the dignity
and respect they’ve earned.
Honoring service.
Restoring health.
Changing lives.
This isn’t just an event — it’s a reflection of who we are and where we
come from: a family using dentistry as a force for good, from global
missions a century ago to our local heroes today.
